The AN/APN-242 Color Weather and Navigation Radar includes weather detection and avoidance, aircraft detection, terrain mapping and navigation, and beacon and IFF interrogation. This is the form, fit and function replacement for the APN-59 radar. The APN 242 can be installed using existing radar cabling, connections and mounts without aircraft modification. |
